Varying Component Value!

Hi Guys,
I am using Altium's variant capability, helps to manage design with different component in assembly.
But I am wondering can we set it to manage component with different value? Suppose a resistor which has different value in different revisions.

Try to use "Alternate part", but it had some bugs and sometimes it was not working as expected .. maybe in AD19 they finely fixed it? But I did use it in some projects.
