Board not 'dimming' when a net is highlighted in PCB Panel

In PCB Panel, you can assign different colours to nets, and also there is this beige default colour that you have for the ones you did not assign any colours. When you check the check mark for the net then the pins and traces assume this highlight colour in the PCB editor. The problem is, that I cannot seem to be able to dim down the PCB, so that the highlighted net is really standing out and visible.
Why is that not working? See screen shot. Also, I don't particularly like this beige colour for default highlighted net colour. Can you change that, without changing them individually?
Thanks.

Try square brackets "[" and "]". Let me know if that helped.
I am not sure if you can change default "un-mask" color - that is color which you use for the net or layer. I think, what Altium calls "highlight" is something else - it is the white border around a track if you hold mouse cursor on it for a moment - and I think you can change color of that border.

Thank you. The square brackets worked out great. I think if I just dim it just right it will work for me.
