Compile schematic vs compile project?

Why do I see compile errors (see attached pic) when I compile my single-schematic-sheet project, but not when I compile the schematic? There are two errors (for conflicting pin types on a net) that don't show up during a schematic-only compile, but do appear during a project compile? Why the difference? Thanks!

I recommend always compiling the full project - that way you are sure that everything is checked.

@mairomaster, thanks for the reply! Yes, it definitely seems clear that compiling the project is more comprehensive, but I guess that's what I'm wondering. What are the specific differences between the two compiles? I ask because there are some workspace views/contexts where it's more convenient to just compile the schematic vs the whole project, but I need to know what that means. Thanks!
