Advanced Layout Activities

Hi @robertferanec
I started the advanced layout course. I have the following questions if you can answer them plz.
- I downloaded the activities files and if I have to place everything from scratch or if I want to create a new project by just copying schematics. I can't import components from schematic to PCB because no libraries are available.
- If I follow those activities folders then they already have component placement so what I am supposed to do to create a completely new project to participate in the course activities.
Thanks

Hi @allee.khaan
1. You can create libraries from existing project: Altium - How to Create Library from Existing Project - Step by Step Tutorial
https://youtu.be/zhuHE9b4C_82. What activity specifically are you asking about? The components should be placed outside of the PCB, there should not be need to import them.

Hi @robertferanec
Thanks for the reply.
First of all, I want to import everything from scratch to the PCB because I want to create a new project by using the schematics available. Now if explore activity folders, you already did all those steps to teach us. So I was a bit confused about how to start or participate in the activities.

Hi @allee.khaan you can work directly in these folders and files. They are specially prepared for the activities - so you can open them and use them to do the activity from the course.
PS: Doing it from scratch would take you a lot of time. This specific project took hundreds of hours to finish:
