I am interested in buying one of your High Speed Design course. I would like to know, do you teach about schematic design of PCIe, SATA, DDR ? You have 2 courses : Advanced Hardware Design and Advances layout courseWould I learn those interface working principles/schematic in these courses? What is the difference between those 2 courses?Best regards.

I do not have any courses teaching about schematic design. Connecting standard interfaces in schematic is not complicated - have a look at reference schematics and read pin description in datasheet. They are always connected the same way. DDR is maybe a little bit different, but this is explained in the courses and also in this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aySAg50S1E8

Advanced Hardware course covers the whole design process, Advanced PCB Layout is focused on PCB Layout.

If you are not usre whichone to take, I recommend Advanced PCB Layout first

To learn how a new high speed interface works, for example the first time you learnt about sata, you just use a reference schematic ? Do you have another way to learn about an interface ? It's easy to find lectures about SPI and I2C but once you get to advanced interface, it's another matter 😩

You can't really do much with SATA or PCIE from HW point of view ... once the pins are correctly connected in schematic and layout is properly done it just needs to work. Normally you should not need to do any kind of debugging nor measurements as you do with SPI or I2C so normally you don't need to fully understand what is happening there. Even if you need to, you will need an expensive setup for it and a lot of testing and measuremnt is (half) automated. I have done some videos on measuring complex interfaces e.g. https://youtu.be/ujkHxsHjZd4 https://youtu.be/PeKE7POB4C4 https://youtu.be/q6fhmTL-Sgo
