Hi all,

I am finishing off my MEng Electrical and Electronics degree and I want to get into the hardware designing domain. I haven't done hardware in the past two years ( due to one year in placement + my university doesn't teach any hardware-related modules in the final year, it is all coding C or VHDL etc ... so yeah it has been 2 years). Can someone please direct me to where I should start(could be a YouTube channel or anything I don't mind)? I won't mind starting from square one and building from there on.
Any free open-source apps to draw schematics or circuits ...

Kicad is a good start since it is free and good enough for ddr5.

If you would like to go more professional, double check what software is required in the position you are interested in .... often it is Altium or OrCAD (and KiCAD is becoming popular too), so have a look also how to use these tools.

I would suggest start with some project that you like and build. Maybe you would like to build small drone? Or something that you need, feel intrested in. I would suggest best CAD is altium, but it is very expensive. So KiCad is problably best option here.

I also suggest check Phil's Lab youtube channel/courses. Robert has a lot of interesting videos as well.

Sir I want to know camera dedicated chipset for AI based facial recognition and security ip camera that would also intended to communicate over ethernet and wifi. Plz suggest me the chipset having proper technical documentation for both harware and software development. Thank you
