Testing a PCBA with an SMA connector
Jpl-TestBench , 03-31-2025, 12:39 PM
Hi all,I'm working on automating the tests for a PCBA which has several SMA connectors (for RF signals). Right now we need to manually plug in the testing device which means screwing and un-screwing the SMA male and female connectors. I'd like to avoid this process which takes time.I tried using a test point to read from the trace on the PCBA but the signal is very noisy and unstable so that didn't work.Has anyone already encountered this issue/have suggestions? Thanks a lot,Jpl

Nice, thanks for the link! Have you already used such a probe before?

No. I have never used SMA or other RF connector.

Look for unthreaded push on or quick connect SMA adapters
